I have a modular building part that I need to make adjustments to every now and then. For some reason every time I resave the proxy object it gets flipped and moved 90 degrees in 2 directions. Causing a lot of pain at the moment because the blocks fit together into a much bigger building and each time I make a change i have to move the individual pieces back. Any ideas?

Probably because you didn't reset transformations before exporting to proxy. If you still have your original mesh, then reset its transforms and then export to proxy. If original mesh is lost, then convert proxy to mesh, transform it as needed, reset transforms and then re-proxy it. That should solve your problem.

Thanks Romullus. Exporting to proxy extracting the mesh, resetting transformations and then re saving as a proxy seems to solve the issue.

I wonder if it would be possible in the future for a reset transformations check box or similar in the corona proxy exporter options.

Thanks again

Warning about not reset transformations would be nice indeed, i will make such request in appropriate topic. On the other hand, one has to develop a habit of reseting transformations on regular basis for his own good ;] That makes life so much easier.

The problem is I am combining quite a few different objects all with different modifiers all in to one proxy, perhaps you know a workaround?

But yes you are right!

Also I'll post in the feature requests thread.

Thanks again!

Select everything you want to export, press CTRL+T, trasform toolbox will pop out, locate R button in it and press it*. That's it, now all transforms are reset and objects are ready to export.

* beware of instanced duplicates, those may get flipped, rotated or scaled upon transform reset (might be a bug of max2016, though). Solution would be to make objects unique before resetting their transforms.
