Mmm... strange question =)
It depends of the complexity of the scene and your Corona setup (GI vs AA, MSI, in primis)
If you have, for example, a villa inside a detailed forest, you can use low GI vs AA (priority for AA) and, obviously, your Passes, for the same amount, will be much more.

I think is mode correct to speak about noise level.
In etxerior, NL= 4% (with a bit of denoising) can be enough.

Do a quick region of a "critical zone" and see when it reaches an acceptable noise level for you. Remember how many passes it needed to reach that noise level and that's it. That's the best way to access it since noise varies a lot from scene to scene.

Thank you both for these comments.
I know that this question is a bit strange... i'm not used to set my scene yet... for exemple I don't modify GI vs AA and  MSI.. but I will learn..
And I didn't use denoising for exterior...

my scene is quit simple... see attached 100 passes in standard d setting in 2400 x 2100...
As I want to increase the format and use Rebus Farm I have to notice the passe number.. and i was asking myself what is the good ratio...

Well... thank you..

Yanosh, again, don't use passes, but use Noise level limit =)

Everything will be easier.
Passes are useful for example in animation, when you want the same amount of AA/Frame.
We cannot say you "how much passes" you need. It depends of the scene complexity.

You have to learn how to use Noise level limit  ;)

Anyway, there is another method:
For example: you have a rendering at 640x640 px. The quality is good for you. And, the rendering time is, for example, 10 minutes and 100 Passes.
If you want the same quality, but to a 4X resolution (2560x2560), you have to wait 10 minutes x 16 times = 2h40minutes )  to have the same amount of Passes.
Why 16? Because it 4^2.

Cecofuli is right. Just don't use denoise amount 1.0 (if active) for a scene like that with 4% noise level. A value of ~0.6 to 0.7 should preserve your details. Best to check the impact interactively.

Good Luck
