I was just thinking it would be fun to have a possibility to select any layer for masking in render elements.
That way whatever you merge in this layer, it's always updated in masks.

Also, it would come in handy that Add gamma to input option in normal map and Affected by Corona VFB tone mapping option in  CoronaOutput map is on by default for both options. I believe most of users use it that way.

Yes, I meant 3dsmax layers.
We're using masks on all greenery for exteriors and we're usually using masks to slightly change color, brightnes...
Let's say client wants to add some trees on existing render, and we would need to update selection/material ID/object ID.
Instead, if it would be possible to add layers as selecting method for masks, new objects in that layer would be added automatically to our mask.

+1 on this - rather than having to add the new geometry to the mask selection - it would recognise it anyway if it was on the correct layer
