Hi guys...

Today I have a strange problem with a specific schene and only with my main workstation which partecipates as DR server in this rendering process.
Once the rendering starts the CPUs are constantly going up and down... I saw the other 2 DR machines and they work fine.

CPU Xeon E5-2683 v4 @ 2.1GHz
Win 7
64GB

I attached image for more info.

Thanks in advance,

Dionysios -

I think the ups and downs are happening because of the adaptive nature of the renderer.
If your rendering speed is not significantly slower this might be ok in my opinion.
I have a dual xeon 2670 machine and I saw similar cpu behaviour.
Let me know guys if im wrong.

Is it the same if you disable DR and render on this machine locally?

Could you send us the scene? We would check if we are able to reproduce it.

I can send the scene to you, no problem. Could you give me a private address please? :)

Please host it somewhere (WeTransfer, Dropbox,...) and send us the link with description to support@corona-renderer.com .

Thanks, the file is 480MB and will be uploaded in a very few minutes and then I'll send you the link.

Thanks for your support!

With the build 09/01/2017 CPUs work perfectly at 100%. The problem is the build which also very very slow if compared to the older ones.

Thanks,

When rendering 8k I noticed as DR frames come in to merge in the VFB, the Rays/s always crashed, as it was pasting all the pixely goodness.
For about 3 seconds it went down to 20% of the normal Rays/s on the workstation only.

I always presumed this was to be expected and DR update rate was supposed to be kept high for this reason.
