Hi Guys

I come for Max 2014 and always just used a good old "." to indicate numbers eg 2.5
In Max 2017 it does not want to take the "." instead reverts to the original number.
I have to use the comma to indicate numbers eg 2,5

This might seem insignificant but its very frustrating and time consuming to move away from
the numberpad.

I tried units and other measurement settings but cant seem to change this

Please help : )

Hi, this is not a Max issue but Windows one (usually).

You should change in Windows your decimal separator from "," to "."
Let us know... :)

Thanks so much Dionysios !!

This was indeed the problem. I also failed to mention that not only did I switch to Max 17 , I also had new computer and
obviously along with that a new Windows install
For anybody that might have similar problem

Start
Currency
Additional Settings
Decimal Symbol
Change to "."

Thanks again
