Hi Guys

Can anybody be of assistance in explaining to me how to direct my texture file to be the default selection
when I want to slot a texture into a map slot
Hope the above make sense

Sorry, but I don't understand the problem. Can you explain what you are trying to do? What exactly would you like to achieve? Maybe screenshots could help?

I think he wants it so when he loads a bitmap for the first time it would automatically default to a certain file folder in the open/selection dialog? Instead of whichever folder he last browsed to. Which I don't think you can customize in max since it is a Windows operation.

I use Direct folders.

Can be used in any open dialog, explorer window, etc. You middle click, then it brings up a list of configurable file paths, which you can browse instantly too.
