Hi, I've problem with region render.
I do a render, after I change something, I select a region and I make again render.
The problem is that everything goes black and only renders the region, but I want to leave the part that I have not checked with the previous render.

Go to render setup>system>frame buffer and uncheck clear VFB inbetween renders. Now you will retain pixels outside render region.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

I think because I'm in distributed render, so 4 passes by the slave are full and not region.
How I can solve this problem?
Is this a bug?

I have not been able to solve the problem.
Some staff could give me confirmation that it is a bug?

Basically if I launch a render of a frame using DR (1 slave) and then I select a part for making a render region.
I uncheck clear VFB inbetween renders.

When I launch the render, the master PC renders the region but the slave computer does not read the render region, and renders the entire image.

I believe it is very important to use the render region even in DR, otherwise it makes no sense to have this.

I attach the image to be more clear.

Unfortunately I'm again here with another problem in DR rendering.

I have tried a render with phoenix3d liquid simulation in a scene using 1 slave in DR.
The result is that the slave computer does not see the fluid in the scene, then when the slave PC begins to perform passes the liquid begins to disappear.

NB. everything is properly set relating phoenix3d (input into the shared folder accessible from both pc)

SO MANY BUGS IN CORONA RENDER DR :((((

Your first problem is a known limitation, if I'm not mistaken. DR will render regions in the next version, I hope.

If so, the render region is totally useless because if you use for example 15 minutes to render an entire frame with DR (1 slave) and 15 minutes to render a part with a single PC. where is the benefit?

The second problem is really a big problem.
This means that you can not use anything that uses save cached files. No plugins. No Real Flow..no Alembic... this is a very BIG PROBLEM for production !!!

The fact that none of the staff to respond to this problem that seems to me to be serious.
Is not a good incentive to buy this.

Hi Daskydesign, I am sorry that no one from our team has contacted you yet. We are a relatively small team, and we have a lot of important tasks every day. That's why it would be best if next time you could send your questions/report directly to support@corona-renderer.com - I guarantee that we would reply much faster.

Currently rendering with regions in DR is not possible. This is a limitation, and we are aware of it. We are planning to fix this in the future. I will ask when we can expect this added, and let you know, but I can already tell you that there is general DR overhaul planned for 1.6, and you can already try an early version of it in our daily builds.

As to the problem with rendering fluid simulations - I don't think any of the plugins you listed is officially supported by Corona. If the animated mesh is however stored as some external file (you mentioned Alembic), and it is correctly loaded in Max, then there is no reason it should not be rendered. If you think there is some problem with it, please report it directly in our bug tracker with a good explanation: https://corona-renderer.com/bugs
This way your report will surely reach our dev team, and it will not be overlooked.

Once again sorry for the delay, if you would like to report any other issues, feel free to contact us at support@corona-renderer.com.
