Yes it is publicly accessible. Go here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/mswauuv1afec8am/AAA5OKrd_QujokDM3mxQ7S40a download latest exe file and install it like you would with public release. That's it.

Thanks for this!

What confuses me now is why the standard EXR file autosave was replaced with some proprietary .cxr file...wut?

there are 2 files autosaved, one is .exr, second is .cxr. Even the .cxr is just exr with additional data and you can open it in anything that reads .exr after renaming to .exr. We cannot use .exr directly, because 3dsmax does not allow us saving with any file extension which it also handles

Interesting. But how come EXR worked fine before? I have a folder full of EXR autosaves :D
Another thing is that for me the daily seems to crash a LOT. I think I tracked it down to the sharpening/blurring in VBF being applied while rendering rather than afterward. No crashes so far when I turned it off.

If you are able to consistently reproduce that, please log it on Mantis.

Will do! But I have a job to finish now, so won't try to crash max on purpose every 5 minutes again :D

it worked here, but it caused problems in other situations (such as when setting main output to cexr and having render elements in the scene). .cexr was not 100% working, .cxr is

Sounds like space magic to me, but I'll trust you on that one. Just makes it inconvenient that I have to rename files to make use or view them. Will there be a feature in Corona that it maybe renames the files back to .exr after creating the .cxr?
