Hey y'all,
anybody out there able to get the volume to work with the corona sun light in C4D? I tried it both in the global volume and as a material applied to a box in the scene with no luck. I followed the 3dsmax tutorials but cant get the same results in C4D not even close. FYI I'm using the last A6 daily. Thanks!

What was the problem after all? The solution might be helpful for others. ;)

I recently made a sample scene for C4D here:

Yeah for sure! I just kept trying it on the same indoor scene and I guess there was something wrong with my window geometry cause I finally decided to try it on an outdoor scene with some trees and it worked great. But it only worked with a volume material on a box in the scene(camera can't be in the box), using the global volume setting in the environment tab was just rendering all black. But the global volume seems to work with the area lights just not the sun i guess. Thanks for the scene file gonna check it out today, I'll post my test scene when I get a chance.

It would be great to get it working with the global volume though(or be able to have the camera inside the volume) so we could do things like animate the camera going through the light rays:)
