Hi

Got a problem with one of the nodes not picking up any work when submitted with DR. The node can submit renders and get help from DR but it wont help with other renders, the log window just stays empty after booting up. Doesn't receive any pings from other computers.

What can cause the node to not pick any work up?

I did not fully understand this part:
The node can submit renders and get help from DR but it wont help with other renders
Can you explain? So the node works fine if you render on it, or if you use it as master?

It could be a networking problem. Or an antivirus/firewall blocking it.

Sorry, yeah that is correct. I can use the node as the master workstation and render fine with other computers helping via DR but it refuses to contribute as a node when DR is run on it.

I cant see anything blocking the DR, i will go n double check though. Not sure what kind of networking problem would cause this if it can be the master but not the node.

as a small studio the setup is not very complicated. just about 10 machines under one workgroup running windows 10 and all connected to a network drive that we work with for files etc.

Maybe after updating something?
So, was it blocking DrServer and you had to allow it?

yeah it was not in the list of approved apps, well it was in the list but the tick box was not ticked. soon as i ticked it and said ok, it picked up some work and started rendering. thanks for the help.
