something strange.
in gif there are 0 and 1 frames.
random scale of scattered objects updates every frame? but 2nd frame is identical to 1st.

also there are not only scale, but position too.

I am unable to reproduce this, can you post a scene where this bug happens (http://corona-renderer.com/upload)?

What is the name of the camera you use and name of the scatter object that causes trouble?

sorry, I am unable to reproduce it. It might have something to do with the fact that I am unable to render the original scene, I had to strip it down. You can try rendering it with the latest build (http://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,316.0.html) to see, if the error was already fixed, and if not, try to strip down the scene so it fits into 16 GB ram and the bug still happens and sent it to me
