Hello there I have installed Corona 10 Hotfix 1.

And what I hae noticed the IR does not update all the time when I change the Color Correction (node) > Advanced RGB color value. The IR does not update.

What I have done is uninstalled Corona 10 Hotfix 1 to my previous version Corona 9 Hotfix 3 and that issue does not exist, whatever I change in the Color Correction node everything updates instantly in Corona 9 Hotfix 3.

The fix for that in Corona 10 Hotfix 1 is to actually move the camera or rescale the IR Frame Buffer smaller or to bigger and it will update. Which is a bit annoying. Corona 9 Hotfix 3 does not need that.

Just quickly stopping by, because I really wanted to share my short film called "LOST HOPE" my inpsiration was DIABLO 4 game. I did learn a lot of new things with Corona and in general creating this short. Want to share this with CORONA community, because I thought it would be great to get some reviews etc.

I was using my i9 18 Core CPU, 128GB RAM, 3080Ti. After Effects + Premiere.

Hello there everyone,

I am having an issue with consistant noise level when it is set in (noise level limit).

Dont want to write here long stories, so I have recorded a video talking and showing it. Maybe you could watch it and help me understand what to change or what am I doing wrong. I dont think that I had this issue with Corona 5-6 etc. Not sure if its the adaptive system issue.

Can anyone please guide me why I cannot see the Phoenix FD Foam Texture map? Using max 2021, latest corona 6 hot fix 1 & Phoenix 4.2
Screen Shot attached: please help me to understand.

When I switch to V-Ray 5, it show the texture then, but when I switch to Corona it disappears.

Any ideas :) ?

Hello there everyone,

I have a quite important question since I switched to Corona and corona workflow has been dominating my workflow now. I have a question in regards of re-rendering  regions in animation.

Example: when I was rendering animations with V-Ray in full frame and when the client had comments, I was able to save time in rendering (re-rendering just regions).

So lets just say the camera is following the Car driving from the side and in the background we have the whole site plan etc. And lets just say the client wants to change the cars number plates, rims  and the car color. So in V-Ray environment case I would create a sphere gizmo or a box gizmo centered to the driving car and give some bleed that would include the whole car and a bit whats around the car, for instance the cars shadow underneath the car. Also lets just say, there will be big glass windows, that when the camera is going to reach those windows the reflection is going to see the car also with all the new changes/amends. So in this case I can create how many gizmos I will need on windows, cars objects that will see the change and apply that in V-Ray Sphere Fade.

So whenever the camera is going to hit those objects they will be rendered and sphere fade will give them a fallow bleed so when you will blend/drop 16bit openexr old footage with the new one (vray sphere fade region frames) it will work like a charm. With a little cost of re-rendering. With corona I would have to re-render the whole frame again. I cannot apply a gizmo on an object, link it and tell corona to render it only as a region with a fallow bleed.

Is there a way or will be a way to do this in corona?

Please help.

Hello there I have a problem with corona and Phoenix.

I cannot see the 4 maps when I switch to Corona. Now I know that Corona does support Phoenix now. So what is the problem? Is this normal to see only two maps instead of 4? (Images attached).

With corona switched ON I can see only 2 Phoenix maps
When I switch to VRAY I can see all 4 Phoenix maps.
When I switch to Corona and show incompatible I can see 4 Phoenix maps is this normal? Should I always switch to "Show incompatible"?

Using Max 2020 Latest Update.

I am wondering to switch from INTEL to AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X.

How do you guys finding this CPU is it any good? Is it worth buying?

At the moment I am on 128GB OF DDR4 Ram, Titan X pascal and i7 6950X 10 core 20 thread.

I call this Kitchen 666, because this Kitchen Design is not going to be for everyone. Dark textures, colors, moody
lighting with MINIMAL Furniture &  Composition.
We live in a very busy world nowadays... Work, stress, everyday rush - sometimes I forget to Breathe... Now, I will
say this: We are all different and at the same time unique. Year by year I was keep designing my projects with
darker, neutral less busy colors & Textures. And I understood one thing from this...

Sometimes life can be too “Noisy” & too “Busy” for our MIND to process this so called “NOISE”. Busy textures,
vibrant colors can be very tiring. And for human BRAIN to process neautral, dark, matt finishes is a lot easier,
than to process vibrant, bright colors or patterned textures. Even to process a bright white color is a lot harder than
to process a dark grey or black, there is almost nothing to process...You just don’t use your precious energy.

That is way I feel a lot more comfortable and well rested in a neutral darkish home environment and some people
might feel the same way. But like I said: It is not for everyone...

So try to create your “WORLD” with a less “NOISY” environment and maybe your soul & body will find peace...

[Max] I need help! / Windows 10 PRO 64 BIT - PAGE FILE

Hello there,

maybe someone could explain me about the page file a bit. Read a lot on the internet and everyone has their own different opinion and at that it looks that no one knows exactly how to work with it.

So my my PC Specs are:

CPU: i7 10 core
RAM: 128gb corsair
GPU: Titan XP

So I know that OS page file has to be somewhere 1.5x bigger than your RAM.

Is this true or not and how it really works? Mainly I work with 3Ds Max, Vray, Corona, Photoshop. And there were times that I was using 105 GB of ram on rendering.

Please do not write messages likes why do you need so much RAM etc etc. :D I have my own purposes.

I have a question:

By any chance there is a way to exclude or include a specific light in volumetric/fog mtl?

For example: I have a scene with 5 lights. 1 SUN and 4 Artificial lights. I only want that the fog/volumetric mtl would work with SUN ONLY. Fog mtl will not take 4 artificial lights in to consideration.

If it did not made sense let me know :)

If it did please let me know if it is possible.?

Does anyone know what is the deal with flipped hdri reflection? Same hdri same scene same glass mtl same camera settings. Left is corona right is fstorm.

So I did put my name in red on hdri. Loaded in corona and fstrom. When I was looking directly into hdri with camera, with corona my name was written backwards. But in a mirror it was written correctly.(Which I assume is the correct way)...


With fstorm did not matter if I look at the hdri directly or in a mirror my name was in a correct orientation. ROMAS and not spelled backwards.

So in this example(attached) you can see that reflections are different but it has the same scene setup. Even the shadows are flipped.

Does anyone know anything in regards to this situation? So which way is the correct way? Is Fstorm is doing this right or corona. I assume corona is doing it right ;/

Hello everyone,

I have one problem with corona and forest pro Object ID.

So I created a lawn/grass with Itoo Forest Pro. The grass geometry is custom made, but this is not a problem.

The problem is - when I pick Corona MASK element in the elements tab. I sed it to RGB and a checkbox on OBJ ID - which is 1-2-3. So in my case I right click on the forest pro object go to properties and put object ID as 1.

So my MASK element RED channel 1 should show the grass mask. But its rendering it in BLACK. Basically corona obj ID buffer does not see that I set 1 obj ID on the grass/forest object.

Is it that forest pro is not suported in corona elements or how does it work? Or should I just go on the object that I am scattering it and select the ID there first.

I am a bit lost. Please help :)

Hello guys,

I have small questions here regarding corona GLARE.

Is there a way to give some kind of dispersion in corona glare? Something like in my example attached. This glare can be achieved in FStorm. I am not proposing FStorm. I am a full user of Vray and Corona.

I am just asking is it possible to do something similar?
