[Max] I need help! / Re: Corona .glTF conversion
« on: 2024-09-08, 23:07:52 »FYI Ill be releasing a Corona to GLB script soon, just doing some last tweaks on it. Stay tuned ;)
It will only support Corona Physical and Vray material's (PBR workflow) so if you need Legacy than the script above might be your best bet.
Its available now, you can give it a shot.

Thanks for the link to your script. I tried it, but compared to V-RayMax Converter Pro, your script converts very simplistically and does not take into account complex texture maps (such as CoronaMix, CoronaColorCorrect, CoronaColor etc.). For example, if the diffuse slot of the material has a CoronaColor map with a different color, then the glTF material will have the diffuse color, but not the color from the CoronaColor map. It also does not take into account texture levels and multipliers if they are not equal to 1.0 and 100. I also did not like that your script does not convert transmission, coat and sheen properties. In addition, V-RayMax Converter Pro can convert not only physical material, but also CoronaMtl (CoronaLegacyMtl), not to mention other Corona materials. Overall, if I need to convert Corona materials to glTF with maximum accuracy, then my choice is definitely V-RayMax Converter Pro.
PS: This is not an advertisement, I just wrote my opinion and everyone chooses what is best and most convenient for them.
