[C4D] General Discussion / ID Masks and Multi-pass

Hi, I am trying to generate masks from my CGI scene to use in Photoshop to quickly select specific materials so that I can change the colour; however, the output of the ID mask is not crisp and doesn't have hard edges. The colours tend to bleed or have a fringe which means I can't simply take the mask and select the colour to generate a clean path. I have tried with a few different render settings, yet still come across this issue and found other multi-pass outputs have similar results which mean additional work, which isn't great when on time constraints. Just wondering if anyone knows any advanced settings for these multi-passes or alternative methods for creating these?
