Hi Guys, I am trying to achieve a material that represents a sheet of 3mm glass that is painted on the backside (In Corona for C4D if that makes a difference) Anyone have any advice on which material to use and how?

Hi Guys,

I can't seem to find an answer for this anywhere so I am hoping you can help! I am switching from 3DS max to Cinema 4D, but one thing I cannot seem to work out is how to use different UV mapping for each texture (Jpeg file) within one material. For example, if I want a concrete texture in the diffuse channel, but want to add a 'scratches' image in the reflection channel, is there a way for them to be mapped differently? It is so easy to do in max using different UV maps and assigning their number to each individual texture channel, but it seems impossible in Cinema 4D.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Hey, I hope someone can help. Is there a way to alter the white balance/exposure etc in the frame buffer without it affecting the environment background colour? I want to render a product shot on a perfect white background but at the moment it goes grey when I alter the contrast and exposure settings. Thanks!

Here are some renders I have done for my recent concept project, all with Corona render. I love this software!

I think your studio setup is stunning! I know it's really cheeky to ask but could you please share a bit of info about how you set it up/ light it? I am trying to achieve a similar setup with my product rendering and I can never get the shadows and lighting quite as subtle. Any tips or screenshots would be amazing!

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to post an image from a project I am currently working on - just because I cannot believe how easy and quick Corona is! To achieve this in Vray usually requires brute force - so you are talking at least 30 mins. Corona does it in 6! As a product designer who wants to achieve quick and easy visuals, this seems to be the perfect bit of kit!

Thank you for the quick reply!

Hi,

I am one of the many people migrating from Vray to corona, as it is incredibly simple and fast, and dare I say it - better quality than Vray! However as I am someone who is well versed in Vray, some elements of Corona are a bit confusing to me.

The one I am mainly unsure about is the material colour vs level thing? What difference is there between the diffuse colour and level setting? Also the same with refections/refractions? Any guidance would be awesome.

Hi,

I would also love a setting that allows you to adjust the DOF without affecting exposure, but that is camera specific. I think the way it works now is perfect for me (adjust the F stop without affecting exposure) but then it doesn't let me batch render with varying levels of DOF.

Would it be possible to make it camera specific?
