I sculpted the model in zBrush. Last steps before export where dynamesh, clay polish and decimation master since the original mesh is close to 4m polys and then exported it as obj.
Hm, I guess it must be the topology related, I suspect the clay polish. I will try with the original mesh and see what that does.

Yes, thou, it is less pronounced but basically the same as if you would gather more samples on the nvidia denoiser

That is what I thought, but the mesh density is already pretty high and it does not seem to follow the topology in terms of edges.
I tried applying a subdiv, but you can still see it. It is also very noticeable during sampling as seen in the 2nd screenshot.
The location also changes with a different camera angle.

I uploaded my scene with only one model in it.

Hi,

I just rendered something with SSS and noticed weird lines appearing.
It seems to be related to the SSS shader, since when I turn it off, it disappears.

Using c4d 2023.001 with Corona 9

Hi,
I encountered a similar problem and I think I figured it out.

This happened for me when the Object I am slicing has no thickness, sometimes it shows the overlapping backfaces of the subtraction object with the slicer material, but only the inner faces. In some cases it glitches out and shows there artifacts like the OP encountered.

So what I did to fix it was, select the object and give it a thickness, in my case I could use a cloth surface with a 0.1 thickness.
I cant provide a scene file, since the objects are confidential.

Do you happen to know by any chance if this is a Team Render only problem?
For example working properly with royale render or other rendermanagers.

Any update on this? I think this is a serious issue that my 16 rendernodes are all calculating different object id colors. How am I supposed to colorkey like that when the footage "randomly" changes colors? I am working on another Project now that has the same issue.

I almost missed my last deadline due to having to render the IDs locally on only one machine.

Thanks for the reply.

However this won't really help me, since I need Object IDs not Material IDs. Since objects with the same material will merge to one color, but I need to mask every object individually. I could apply different materials to every object, but that would be total overkill for a function that works out of the box in the 3ds max version.

I encountered a Problem where with Team Render each rendernode calculates different Object ID colors that fucks up my workflow and I need them to keep the same color.
I am working in Cinema R21.207 with corona Version 6.0.

I attached 3 different object ID states.
I am not sure I can share the scene 'cause it is an ongoing project and may contain sensitive 3D data from our client.

Hi,

I seem to be having the same Problem. In my case it is also random.
I first thought it was linked to TeamRender, but I noticed that it only randomly decides to lock up when I include my own machine.

I am on Win10
Threadripper 2920x
2080 Super with latest Studio Driver (442.92)
