[C4D] Bug Reporting / Re: Cinema 4D Stops Responding
« on: 2020-05-19, 02:19:31 »
Was good for a day or two and now I'm back to crashing.  Have stripped almost all other plugins from C4D and Maxon has confirmed that it is a Corona Renderer issue.

Ok, so I completely uninstalled C4D (including all plugins/prefs) then reinstalled it and the Corona version you provided below.  It seems to be working fine now.  However, when I sent the scene to Rebus Farm it was looking for 586 frames that weren't there before it would send to render...could be because they don't have Corona v6 yet?  Don't know...just something I noticed.

Downloaded the daily build and installed it.  Still freezing C4D mid-render.  Corona continues to render, but completely seizes C4D and I have to force quit every time.

I'm also experiencing issues with Corona Render locking up during render.  I am running the latest Studio drivers from NVIDIA and am on the latest version of Corona 5 (hotfix 2) as well as C4D R21.207.  I can't think of anything that I've changed in the last couple of days that would be affecting this, but I've had to force quit C4D on every Corona render for the last 2 days.

[C4D] I need help! / Creating a blow torch
« on: 2020-04-15, 19:23:41 »
I've been trying to create a blow torch using XParticles but came across a post that seems to be much easier and get the desired effect but I'm unsure of how to do this in Corona Render.  Any ideas?  How would I create parallel spotlights in Corona?

@pokoy That worked!!!  It didn't immediately update the Interactive Viewport so I had to turn that off and back on to reset the render, but that definitely took care of the weird normals issue!  THANK YOU!!!

I'm currently having an issue when I bring in FBX files that are converted from CAD (STEP) files.  We have gotten things to a point where we get clean geometry as FBX out of Modo and into C4D and it renders nice and clean in the Standard, Physical and Octane C4D render engines.  However, as soon as I put a Corona material on it and render in Corona, we get some weird normal/phong issues with our geometry that we aren't seeing in the other render engines.  Is there a setting I'm missing or something anyone could suggest to clean this up?  I have attached two files, one showing the Corona render with the issues and one showing the C4D Physical render without the issues.

[Max] Resolved Feature Requests / Re: ACEScg

Wow!  That thread is a BEAST!  I read the majority of it and to be honest couldn't tell if there was any resolution to it.  Most people were saying there are too many variables involved to successfully implement ACEScg into Corona?  At least that's what I took from it.  How is Arnold doing it so successfully then?

+1 ACEScg
