[Max] I need help! / Re: 3ds max Viewport Problem

Hello,

3ds Max viewport can turn out to be sluggish, especially when dealing with heavy scenes. Here are some suggestions to improve viewport performance:

1. Having a fast CPU, particularly with a higher clock speed, can significantly improve viewport performance.

2. Collapse or XREF objects: Reducing the number of individual objects in the scene can improve performance. https://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2024/ENU/?guid=GUID-F9CE15BD-FD57-4671-8F3A-8E742B766555

3. Use instances instead of copies: Instances consume less memory compared to copies.

4. Optimize models based on their visibility in the final render. Use simpler models for objects that are farther away.

5. Avoid unnecessary modifiers: Limit the use of Turbosmooth or Meshsmooth modifiers, and keep the "Iterations" value as low as possible in the viewport.

6. Use Corona Proxy to decrease the number of polygons and simplify meshes in the viewport, it helps to manage scenes more efficiently. https://docs.chaos.com/display/CRMAX/Corona+Proxy

7. Avoid using highres texture in viewport. https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-display-texture-maps-in-3ds-Max-2015-viewport-at-higher-resolution.html

8. Consider using Xref scenes to manage and organize complex projects. This can help improve performance in viewport. For more detailed information and additional tips, you can refer to this article: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-optimize-performance-in-very-large-3ds-Max-scenes.html#:~:text=Optimize%20scenes&text=To%20do%20this%2C%20go%20to,(5%20gigabytes%20or%20more.)

Thank you very much. It would be even better if friends with more knowledge could also comment.

I turned everything into corona in the 3ds max scene. But the stage is very difficult to move. Navigating the viewport is very difficult. 3ds max program got heavier. I couldn't understand it at all. Do you have any suggestions you can give?
