[C4D] General Discussion / Re: c4d noob render textures

thanks for the reply, but the only results i found on google involved applying to geometry and doing proper texture baking, which seems a pretty complex method.. is that the only way?

[C4D] General Discussion / c4d noob render textures
« on: 2019-08-28, 13:03:04 »
Hi all, first post here.

im a 3dsmax/vray guy, and im trying to convert a c4d/corona scene to max.  ill either use corona or vray to render.

im currently looking at the shaders, and most of the textures have a filter node on with multiple tweaks applied.   there are also stacks of layered textures with different blending modes.

since there is no direct equivalent of the filter node in max, it would be a massive timesaver for me, since i have to match look as exactly as possible, if i could just render out the textures post-correction and layering, and pipe these textures directly into the corona materials in max.

to do this in max i would just right-click on the texture preview, and choose "render" and specify resolution.

how do i do the equivalent in c4d/corona?

any help most appreciated, itll save me days of fiddling and potential client complaints.
