Is this issue only about not being able to remove Corona entries from quad menu in Max 2025+?

Nope, it’s also about the fact that it breaks the entire quad system in later versions of 3ds Max (at least in that section of the quad menu). You can’t remove those entries, you can’t move them elsewhere. All the other entries get messy around those two Corona items and act weird. They don’t save properly, can’t be removed in some cases, and can’t be rearranged. Because of that, you can’t use the Transform quad the way it’s supposed to work.

(Report ID=CMAX-1198) That’s what @Avi from the Corona team assured us would be reviewed and solved by the devs in the post regarding the quad menu issue in the latest 3ds Max 2025–2026. Corona completely breaks 3ds Max’s new Menu Editor, and no one seems to care about it.

No updates, no mentions.. just a question into the void.

It’s not Autodesk’s issue, or VRay's, or any other script or plugin.. but Corona’s. When you install a fresh 3ds Max and then add V-Ray, Redshift, Octane, or FStorm... whatever.. the 3ds Max menu works just fine. It follows and saves all commands properly. But once you install Corona, the issue breaks the entire quad menu. And even simply removing those two entries "Open Corona Converter" and "Open Corona Proxy Exporter" has no effect. Because, hey, they’ll still be there no matter what, and they cause problems for all custom quad setups the user tries to build.

And I shared it.
Seriously, just install Corona on a fresh 3ds Max, delete those two from the quad menu, and check the message log. That's all it takes.

Is there any news about solving this issue?
It breaks every script or plugin in the quad menu, doesn’t remember them, and shows error logs every time (screenshot attached).

Do you perhaps have a temporary tip or workaround to avoid this?
For example, is there a way to remove these "Open Corona Converter" and "Open Corona Proxy Exporter" entries to prevent them from causing issues with other plugins and scripts?

something that keeps bothering me is that no matter what, some of the Corona quad scripts always reappear, even in 3ds Max 2025 where menu editor has been remade and now every other plugin script can be deleted but not Corona, in previous versions, even Chaos Phoenix and some Vray scripts couldnt be deleted, I always create a custom menu and I have Corona in another quad, but "open corona Converter" and "open corona proxy exporter" always reappear

What could I do to remove them?

I created a small video from my side where this error clearly shows up. Check this out.

Note: it happens only with Corona installed in 3ds max and it happens exactly with "transform quad menu (right-bottom quad)" Other quad menus seemed to be ok when changing, adding separators, deleting etc.

Also, it somehow envolves these two quad menus "Open Corona Converter and Open Corona Proxy Exporter"
Not only Corona 12 but earlier releases as well, that a long time bug I presume.

Hey, Corona team!

I noticed an issue with noise level limit.

Not in all scenes, but there is after all. It can be in interiors and exterior scenes.. doesn't matter.
Usual I render images by noise level limit (coz rendering by passes limit is hard for me to understand how much it needs for each situation(an image) and by time limit is the same problem for me) noise level is preferable, so ..

Sometimes, my images have horrible noise in some of parts of an image. At 2.00% and even less!! It still looks really noised. Even when an image has +3000pixels
I cannot decrease noise level limit less then 1.5-1% it's abnormally :(  my Core I9 7980X will render it for hours!

- Question, how can I fix this? Maybe I do something wrong?
I share with you by my latest scene with this issue, hope you'll help me guys!

p.c. when I was preparing this scene for you, I noticed that I have two planes as CoronaPortals (one is exactly near the window of the room and another in the different room). Deleting another decided the issue but, not full. Maybe this information will be helpful

but if the problem was only because of the Corona portals, than why I got the same issue in the an exterior scene. Who knows..

OK, understood!

I got permission from my client and ready to upload the scene with the issue. It's really important cause in latest projects I just disable "adaptive light solver" first.. this is bad, and must be fixed!
Please tell me the way how I should upload them.

I don't use this. It's just HDR+CoronaSun (in my post where an interior is CoronaSky+Sun)
Without multi-environments :)

But, I noticed the same issue in exterior scenes

Hello everyone!

I noticed a bug in new version of Corona 4 (hot fix 1) :(

This is a bathroom here, 3 sources of light(IES)+ 2 more of Corona light Mtl (in the mirror) + main light corona Sky
I tried to understand why on my ceiling there is some "squares". And disabling "new adaptive light solver" removes this problem

This is a commercial scene :( I can't

But, you know ..  I need to do some "experiments" maybe you were right then I should build a new scene and check this issue again :)
If this won't work anyway, I will try to get agree from my client and share this scene with you!

Well, ok :)

It is logical, I understand but, how about this?

I disabled caustics from HDR map.. and turned on Corona sun..
Still the issue :(

This is not about of only HDR map, this is real problem.. and I can't use these improve caustics.


What about C4D users, you showed how caustics works in some scene:
