I noticed this bug as well, and it happens in all scenes i have. I need to manually change the bitmap blur parameter from default 1,0 to 0,01 to make textures look sharp.

Here are few tests i've done with models i had from my projects. Very quick (around 30 mins each), almost no photoshop.
Overall i'm very impressed with Corona, sweet quality and even better max integration. Two thumbs up :)
