Thank you all fot the tips! I was making those tests with path tracing and lowered GivsAA and i it went from 25 minutes to 18, thats a great win for me already. But i will submit the scene to the team so maybe they can find something im missing. Theres no hurry now since i lowered the times ill be able to render it in time, but for future renders will be nice to have a clear vision of what i need to do!

Ah ok i see, im using a Ryzen 7 3700x with 32gb ram, i was trying to get 15 minutes max, but maybe i will have to start deleting some objects from the scene and reduce forest pack distribution.

Is there something i can do to decrease render time? I never fully understand GivsAA even reading the docs, the same with uhd cache or path tracing, looks like is very random when it decides to increase or decrease the times.

Right, just my biggest problem is that this issue happens with every single file, every time i try to lower the render time it gets longer, in this case this is an animation with 480 frames, i was trying to achieve up to 15 minutes per frame, but if i just cant make the shaders simplier i will try another alternative (just dont know what).

Hello everyone, im having some problems lately with Corona.

Basically when i render a scene with all materials as they should (translucency, reflect, refract, etc i got x render time, but if i take all those materials and remove reflect, translucency and refract (usually vegetation) the render time gets longer. This logic is wrong,  right?

Look at the attachments, the time 1 has all materials unchanged (4 min elapsed - 22:24 left), and time 2 are without all the things i said above, in theory it should be faster but isnt (4 min passed - 23:59 left). Can you help me?

**Both are with 7,5 noise limit without pass limitation...

Thanks everyone! I will make some ajustments to the smoke and update the topic.

I really just let simulate the very beggining, i will put more dissipation to it and let simulate a little longer to create a more realistic effect.

Here in the office we usually use one version behind to avoid some launch problems, but i will try with corona 5 to see if changes.

About the IR i tried with regular render and got the same result, i sent the render to our renderfarm but no lucky, same problem. Maybe with V5 i can solve this.

Hello everyone i need help.

With the last 3 animation scenes i have a problem and simply cant solve it:

I have for example a moving forward camera - 99 frames. Looking through viewport the camera is moving, using shift + V command i can save the preview without problems. But if i start interactive or normal render the camera stops moving. If i put on frame 3 or 25 the camera stays at the exactly same place, but in viewport i can see that the camera moved, only in render it stays the same.

But if i put to frame 30 or beyond starts to render normally, the interactive changes to the correct camera position.
With all 3 scenes is the same, from frame 0 to 30 no movement (even if in viewport is moving), after that starts to move.

If i switch from corona to physical camera that problem is not there, it renders perfectly. What is causing that?

If you look at the attachments you will see that in first frame its all good, but in frame 24 the viewport changed but not the render, and after the frame 30 it start to move but not the same as viewport, looks like a 30 frames delay.

Hey guys, so i need help with the following:

I have a bed for example, it has textures applied on it, like "bump.jpg, wood.jpg", then on windows i use the program called Advanced Renamer to add a Prefix on them all, like "Bed18_", so all the textures now is like that "Bed18_wood.jpg, Bed18_bump.jpg".

But the problem is that when i open 3ds max i have to change all the textures one by one, dragging the renamed jpg to material editor and changing with the old one, and thats my question: Is there a way to add this Prefix name to all textures at once in max? Because sometimes theres a lot of textures and take a lot of time to change one by one.
