Hey dkid,

They are not really pebbles, they are large smooth stones, in hindsight they probably need a rougher texture so they dont look like smooth river pebbles. The scales is realistic, but they probably need to look more like the attached.

Had a few comments on them, but just didn't see it at the time.

Modelled the house, everything else is stock models where possible as the lighting was the focus of this project.

Cheers for the feedback.

Ok the "stones" really killing the visuals but i like the rest of the work. I did checked your behance really good renders. keep it doing. wish i could have knowledge of shading and lighting like you.

dude what's wrong with pebbles? are those some alienated pebbles! :D  seriously need work on proportions.

rest is good. did you completely model, lit, shade and rendered the scene.

Hello
just milestone model renders. this is triangles decimated version of the model - 700k tris with color and bump maps.. i have also nice quads model with displace which works with corona too - displace is aplicated as modifier on object because corona dont have displacement implemented yet.

cheers

are you using max or other 3d suit! cause corona implemented displacement from 1.5 may be early than this version. but CORONA RENDER SUPPORT DISPLACEMENT MAPS

here you can have complete feature list of corona render and glimpse at upcoming feature.

may be you should properly have a look at material editor.

by Curvature Shader mean "edge wear and tear" then in Corona you can do it with CoronaAO map and input bitmap in one of the AO node to add more realism. YT got more tutorial on that simply search it.

For main road covered by snow I used divided plane mesh with very detailed snow bitmap, displacement and normal map for fine details. For far snow terrain I used Cinema regular landscape object with small size and height and also displacement map. For small snow details like roof snow cover I made object with use metaballs painting through splines. It wasn't very complicated. Entire displacement process took 58 Giga ram during render. I think it's key for details for this scene.

it sill dont understand, can you elaborate a little.

58 Giga ram! thats a lot, i wonder my 16gb will give me displacement like yours
