Yeah, the pool of big ideas seem to have thinned out...
...But right now I have a feeling of lack of momentum that makes me a bit worried.

Don´t forget: As different news sources told in the beginning of the year, Ondra joined another "project" - so that surely had an effect.

But i have full trust in the actual team.

[Max] General Discussion / Re: Embrace GPU rendering

Corona is very close to my heart and I use it professionally every day - this will not change in the medium to distant future.

However, Octane as a pure GPU renderer is technically absolutely on a par - in terms of quality and features without a doubt. I don't see any technical limitations in the pure result of the image. From caustics to the fantastic simulation of light, etc.

I think VERY realistic images are possible in both worlds...CPU as well as GPU.

that sounds great and thank you for the feedback, Avi. Have a great day!

Would really love to see an automatic exposure and white balance function (like V-Ray has) in the new Frame Buffer.

Thanks for all your hard work and would be happy if this feature would be considered for the next Corona Version.

In a lot of projects there are objects in the scene which makes it pretty fast obvious that it´s CG work.
It surprises me every time (because often there went a lot of work into the scene) that these small things are not eliminated before it´s published to the customer or other end consumer.

The texture on the chairs, for example, is on all six pieces exactly the same (shot 5). Sadly no variation at all. It would be a matter of a few seconds/minutes to change that.

Overall i like the scene - please don´t get me wrong!

It is only a sort of a letdown, that these small things can be still found in an overall nice set of pictures.

i noticed that a few objects go "into" your walls....the wood panels in the kitchen (Cam4,Cam6)....and the black picture frame (Cam5).
