Gallery / Omega - Ratis

Video realized for Omega, Italian metal band, of their song "Ratis", about 20.000 frames rendered in coronawire.
Everything is modeled in 3dsmax or Zbrush, while fracturing and various vfx are extensive Tyflow power (which is awesome).
Hope you enjoy!

Momentum is a short video series about motion.
In this first, inspired by some dark fantasy stuff, I focused on fluid simulations.

Every asset is modeled/sculpted in 3dsmax/Zbrush and textured with Substance Painter (except for the woods which are Megascans textures).
Fluids and wax are simulated with PhoenixFD while candle flames are simulated with Houdini.
And of course everything rendered with Corona Renderer and post-processed in After Effects.

Hope you like them! You can find full videos on my Artstation page

Gallery / A dark Christmas scene

"Oh my reindeers, - the elf said - someone freed Krampus from his snowy prison-ball slumber! We must call for Santa's aid before that beast is able to ruin everyone's cheerfullness!"

My entry for #weeklyCGC, a snowball/Christmas scene with a dark vibe.

Everything modeled in 3dsmax and/or sculpted in Zbrush, except for the background trees which are free Quixel branch models readapted as trees. The ground base model was created in World Machine then detailed in Zbrush.
Everything UV mapped in 3dsmax then textured in Substance Painter.
The final image is rendered with Corona Renderer in 3dsmax and post processed in Photoshop.

Thanks for the feedback, this was fun to make and was kind of stepping out of my working comfort zone. Also it won the second place in the contest so I'll definetely be doing more scuplts/images in this surreal-but-realistic style!

"Why should you ever waste  your old worn steampunk-ish tram wagon in the backyard when your fellow 30 ft tall ladybeetle can carry it around for you?"

My entry for #weeklycgc.

The ladybeetle model was sculpted and furred in Zbrush while the wagon was modeled in 3dsmax. Both were UV mapped in 3dsmax and then textured in Substance Painter.
Lighted and rendered in Corona, I used a mix of SSS for the antennae and the elytra, SkinMtl for the main body, HairMtl for the fur, plus various Substance converted LayerMtl for the wagon.

Gallery / Omega - Mater, full Coronawire video
« on: 2018-04-13, 18:54:00 »
Hi everyone, my first post here!
I recently joined a communication studio so I mostly work on interior/motion graphics stuff but I also like to experiment on character sculpting, game assets workflow and VFX!

This video was made last summer for an Italian metal band called Omega. Maybe it's not the musical genre for everyone's ears but it's full Corona!
Major use of Coronawire, Corona scatter + morph targets, Falloff and Zdepth masks to post process in After Effects.

Hope you like it!

Softwares: 3dsmax - Zbrush - World Machine - Corona Renderer - After Effects/Premiere Pro
