[Max] Bug Reporting / Re: CoronaOutlineMtl + Camera Clipping Causes Black Areas
« on: 2025-07-23, 19:13:19 »
Hi Aram,
We’re aware that clipped sections of enclosed geometry can appear dark due to lack of light, but the issue we’re reporting is specific to CoronaOutlineMtl.
In our case:
- The scene uses CoronaOutlineMtl as an Override Material.
- With camera clipping enabled, the outline effect breaks in clipped regions, resulting in solid black areas. This doesn’t happen with standard materials.
It feels like there’s an unintended interaction between OutlineMtl’s rendering logic and camera clipping. Could the team double-check if this combination is supported?
Thanks again for your help!
