[Max] I need help! / How to learn 3ds max and corona
« on: 2017-09-17, 23:16:47 »
Hi all,

Recently I've been struggling to get to grips on both 3ds max and corona renderer. However, I really want to learn it but it's like trying to fly a jet fighter with the amount of options on offer. May I ask how did you guys learn 3ds max and corona. Is it just trial and error or did you learn it from books, videos on youtube, courses on the internet or in a classroom? I've used a few tutorials on udemy to learn 3ds max but can't find any really comprehensive material. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Kind regards,

Hi all,

Thank you all so much for your help, it can get a bit tricky trying to wrap my head around all the different parameters. So I downloaded the texture and opened the .3ds max file and then dropped the material into the slate editor. I noticed the bitmaps were missing so I reloaded them into the tree. Is there anything else that needs to be done? I'm currently testing the material on a basic teapot shape https://imgur.com/1Fdk0Dg

Hi all,

Apologies for the novice question but I have only just discovered Corona and 3ds max so I am still getting to grips with the software. I am absolutely amazed by the results one can achieve through the renderer however I seem to be having difficulty addding materials to my library. I recently downloaded the a concrete material off the corona materials website but when I download the file all I have is a few jpegs and the 3ds max file  is there anyway to properly add it to the materials library?

Kind regards,
