[Max] I need help! / setting "Add Gamma " to Normal Maps as default

Is there a way to make a persistent modification to a setting, or even parameter code, that will set the Add Gamma option as a default when selecting Corona Normal map type?

I'd try placing the color map of the image in the reflection color slot of a metallic (high fresnel, low glossiness) material.

Is this working under MAX 2018 with Corona 1.61?  Just updated MAX and I'm already needing to convert a scene.
