We tried all of those render managers as well. We settled on Vexus.  Super easy to set up different passes and send everything to our renderfarm or render locally.  Its also much easier to work in a group with Vexus.

We actually met up with them at Siggraph in LA this past week. Great people to work with.

My understanding is that Corona needs to expose a few parameters (or something to that effect) so that Vexus and other render pass managers can see and then over ride the settings in the render tab.

[Max] Feature Requests / Vexus with Corona Renderer

We use Vexus as our render layer manager. We use it in place of state sets. It works great with Corona, however the integration isn't as deep as it is with VRay. (To over ride render settings, materials, camera settings, environment settings, etc).

Can this be added?

Thanks! It totally spaced my mind to check that out. I will look into that, and I'll email you Tom. Thanks for the quick reply.

I've been using Corona since the early alpha days and I love it. We have been using corona at the studio I work for since then as well. I've been using the free alpha version in the 3D class i teach in the school of architecture at a university. Its so easy to teach and produces great results to those that are just learning. The version Alpha 6 doesn't work inside of 3ds Max 2017 which is what all the students have now. I am aware of the 45 day trial, but that will end before the semester is over. Is there a version of corona that I can have the students use that will last to end of the semester? Otherwise I'll have to have everyone either downgrade to 2016 or teach another renderer built into Max, which I can do, it's just not as easy or user friendly to new comers.

Thanks
