Badass! How did you do the dust?

Hi, thanks that's exactly what I was aiming for hah.
But let me disappoint you, it's all just post in fusion. Do your post over beauty where it does not contain any effects. Basically, separate your beauty pass from bloom and glare do all the post and only than over everything put bloom and glare. What I like to do instead of having one element with both of them add 2 elements where one has bloom and other has glare, that gives you a bit more control over the post. And definitely always render some rgb masks, they are big time savers.

NICE image!
provocative render

Thanks a lot!

Another evening daily. Everyone now is doing cosmonauts. Is this some kind of trend?

Looks amazing. May I ask witch hdri maps you are using? And do you use any background override for sky replacement?

[Max] I need help! / Corona image batch
« on: 2018-04-14, 11:21:15 »
Hey, is there a way how to extract from cxr not all elements at once but for example only 3 of them, let's say I want to have only beauty, velocity, and zdepth.

Is it possible? I tried multiple ways but can't really get it working.

To better understand my problem image in attachments.

I tried comma, and other symbols to separate elements but it didn't helped me.

Thanks.

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Backburner & Noise limit
« on: 2018-03-26, 17:21:31 »
Hi, for the first time we decided to try out corona to render the animation, instead of vray.

The, unfortunately, the experience was pretty bad, our goal was to render animation on the weekends, we did some tests before everything was fine for the first time, so we thought everything will be alright. (we had no time to test things out)

We have 30 computers they all share the same max version and plugins, so there is no problem with software, we don't have problems with computers when we use vray.

We were using noise limit so the computers can end rendering when it reaches required noise limit, the problem was that some frames randomly decided to stop rendering faster, then it should, so we ended with the flickering problem, the solution was to use pass limit instead of the noise level.

I won't be able to share a scene, we signed NDA but the scene was dark and very complex with 600~ artificial light sources and volumetric fog.

Luckily we managed to render animation but we had to lower the quality dramatically just to make it in time because of this bug.

Thanks, and I hope this problem will be checked :)

[Max] I need help! / Denoising Animation
« on: 2017-12-07, 16:40:04 »
Hi, I have few questions.

We are studio who is working usually with vray and we are rendering the animations. And the process is simple, we render multiple images and denoise them later.

Our render farm has strong cpus and very cheap graphic cards that's the reason why we are denoising images after all the frames are done, using vray denoiser tool.

Right now I am checking how corona denoising works does it uses gpu or cpu and if gpu is there a way how to do denoise when all the frames are done later?

I have found the way how to denoise single image saving CXR file, but I haven't tested it yet with image sequence. Does it work with image sequence? And is it friendly for animations?

Thanks, hope everything is understandable., Cheers.

[Max] I need help! / Ram problem
« on: 2017-07-04, 15:12:18 »
Hi, I have 32 gb of ram, and something strange is going on.

As you can see(image attached) corona only uses ~11 gb of ram, but in task manager, you can see that I am almost out of ram.

There is no other tasks running in the background who could take rest of the ram.

Does anyone know how i can fix this and why is this happening?
