I find it distracting too. Honestly, you really should re-render it. Renders are great but that noise ruins it IMHO. Also, I'd disable the lock sampling pattern checkbox for animation, it looks weird. I don't know why it is advised to use that for animation. Maybe the noise is a bit less visible in certain areas but when you really see it, it just look weird. Unlocking the pattern will produce noise way more realistically (compared to a real camera noise) than that fixed grid over the render. Just my two cents

Same here, love the unique cameras, but noise and the repetitive dust are distracting the focus.

I've never tried to render a sequence with no sampling pattern. I have to test it, btw I think the problem is that 7-8% of noise is too high, also remember that the denoiser clean each frame in a different way so that's why you see the noise "moving". I'd try to re render with 3-4 % of noise and low down a bit the settings to save some time. 21 hrs for 5 sec interior animation (around 120 frames) sounds a bit too much unless you have an old cpu.

Thanks alot for your feedback and tips, guys! I appreciate it and I will try to re-render the animation.
Guess I will test it if it looks better without the lock sampling pattern enabled or not.

I have a dual xeon e5 2670 so that shouldnt be the problem. The 21h are also with a little bit of dof enabled in some scenes. I havent figured out how to do this in post process. Can I do this in Premiere Pro with the z depth pass for example or do I need After Effects for that?.
Most scenes also dont have alot of direct light and maybe there is something wrong with the wall shader. So I think that makes the render times also longer.
When I have finished my commercial projects I will have a look at this project again.

Cheers
Patrick

I think it does a bit.
Did you render with udh? Which setting did you use? Denoise Amount?
I think if you rerender a clean version it would be much better.

I would love to hear from others if they also think it is distracting. Cause rerendering the whole thing would take so much time. Most scenes (around 5 seconds) took me more than 21h to render.
But I guess you are right that a cleaner version would be much more appealing.

Yes I used UHD cache with the animation (flicker free) option. I also saved the uhd cache and had it loaded from file for each scene. Noise limit was different for each clip but in most cases it was around 7-8% with denoise amount of about 0,7. (I dont remember the exact values)

Beside the excessive noise, Is an Amazing project, the composition of the different cameras are stunning.
Kudos to you, very cinematic and immersive.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it!
Yeah the noise is really a problem in some scenes. I dont know why it turned out so strong. But I personally think it is not so distracting in general

Hej!
I would like to present my latest personal project. I used this to develop my artistic and interior design skills.
The floorplan (but nothing else) is from my parents house :)

I also made a short movie for this project.

For indoor water it will be better if the surface will be almost flat...maybe with one big circular ripple ( someone threw a coin into the water, or leaf fell to the water)
indoor/outdoor water surface:

Your water material is probably correct, it only depends on what is under the water surface (pool wall color) and what the water surface reflect (angle of camera). You can adjust absorption color and distance if you want non clean water.
I agree with Bzuco. The water inside would have to be a "calm water" almost flat. These ripples that you have made look almost like a sea water, very shaky.

On the material of the water, I believe that if you improve the absorption will get even better.

You two are absolutely right. The waves are way to strong for an indoor water surface.
I think it looks nice in the animation, but for indoors it doesnt seem realistic.

I will definitely try absorption in that water material. Thanks!

The animation is cool!

Maybe if you improved the water would look better

Thank you! What would you suggest to improve in terms of water? More refraction, another texture, more or less noise? I was struggeling to animate the water properly.

great work, u deserve 10!

Thank you :)

Very nice and flicker free animation. I like the water scene most.

Thanks a lot!

Hey guys,

this is the final project for my bachelor degree in architecture.
I designed an advertising agency in the city of Oldenburg, Germany.
For the final presentation I also made a little animation (my first ever!)

I really hope you like it and I would love to hear some feedback from you :)
