[Max] I need help! / Re: CXR File Save
« on: 2017-07-29, 16:54:49 »
Hi,
I have another question regarding CXR.

If I saved CXR through the VFB interface(Save CXR button), the file size is 1.4GB. However, if I saved CXR through Render Scene>Render Output>Save File, the file size is only 102mb.
It means the data is different.
When I'm using render farm, I have to save file through Render Output or Render Element, which means I can't get CXR with full info(such like tone mapping setting) to be used in imaged Editor. Is there a way to save full CXR if the image is rendered in render farm(backburner)?

Thanks!!!

Hi, it should be possible to save renders using the CXR format in Render Output setting. Saved results should be the same as using the Save CXR button. Are you using the .cxr file extension in Render Output?

Hi Mike,
you are totally right. I just did some further test. The CXR from render output is identical to the CXR from CXR button.
Thanks very much.

This is a feature totally not urgent but good to have..

Currently, Corona Image Editor, Corona DR Server, Corona License Server all share the same icon. If they can be a little different, it will be easier to tell which is which, especially  in notification area....

Hi Ondra,
The persistent render regions is nice.
However, we sometimes forget to remove the render region when we sent to render farm.

Is it possible you can create a function of maxscript for my script to check and remove any unwanted render region before submitting to render farm?

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Render Elements output black when DR
« on: 2016-09-17, 00:32:15 »
There is several old discussion on this. But it seems there isn't a solution and those discussions are a while back. I started a new one here:

Because we are using dropbox, which will keep all revision history, we know what's the issue but don't know how to solve it.

From the screen shot, we know the black render elements are saved by DR render nodes(dropbox will indicate the conflict saving). The render elements saved by DR nodes overwrite the actual render elements from the main computer. Those elements which aren't black are what we recovered back by revision history from dropbox, which are saved by the main computer(the one really rendering)

Is there a way to stop the DR render node from saving render elements by the end of the rendering?
