amazingly amazing.
how do you put up with the CPU render times?
what kind of hardware?
I'm curious how long a scene like this will take to render at 720p or 1080p (that will help me compare to my current gpu renderer setup)

I use iray extensively for similar projects and I must say Corona Is very much embarrassing it.
Also the photoscanned assets basically make your renders indistinguishable from photos.
Even when I zoom in on them!  (To be fair though I'm on a cellphone)

Thank you very much for the response! this is very helpful.
I will dive into this info as soon as I can.

My main reason for not converting is convenience.
I don't want to say i'm lazy. But I am a multi skill freelancer. I do 3d and 2d digital and traditional.
And many varied styles. Basically I don't have the time or energy to play with mastering a different material scheme everytime I want to try something new.

To put things into perspective,  I currently use Iray primarily ;)  ie, one click render and you're done.

I'm attracted to corona for my final more artful portfolio pieces due to its lighting. There is a certain "feel" i've never seen in any other render.

However, i'll have to switch back and forth for work reasons, and having a GLOBAL material that worked in all my renderers would be REAL nice.

The one that has my eye is the Arch/Design material, which works in 3dsmax on almost everything so far.. I'm just hoping it works in Corona.
If it doesn't maybe theres another?

At any rate i'll look through your info and see what's there
thanks again!

OK i have 2 Q's.

1: does corona work with ANY of max's built in materials, or do you have to convert them all?

2: what are the main improvments of the current version vs the alpha freeware!??

THANK!
