[Max] Resolved Feature Requests / Polarization Filter effect
« on: 2017-05-29, 05:45:34 »
May be i am a little bit crazy requesting this... :) . i hope there will be a lot helpful if we can get polarization filter effect in corona. sometime i want darker shadow, controlling reflection, high contrast and darker sky without altering the whole lighting and GI (ie. without tweaking the lighting and cheating the material). i believe this will be amazing feature in corona if we can get coz No other render engine support this feature currently right now (i think...).

In one word - perfect.
Corona benchmark in 2:38 without OC on box cooler, which is for me just excellent do his job.
Glad to hear that! :). I am also trying to build with 1800x or 1700x at the end of this month. Have you test about heavy PS work? 4k with a lot of layers etc. I also have dual xeon e5 2683v3 (got from ebay). Multithread performance is great! but single thread is slow (only  over 110 on cinebench r15 :( ). feel laggy in PS with 4k and a lot of layers. And also in 3ds max viewport performance:(

[Max] General Discussion / AMD Ryzen 7 series and Corona?
« on: 2017-02-23, 06:51:31 »
Hi! I am planing to build new pc with amd ryzen 1700X or 1800X but i just wondering will these new CPUs be fully function with corona? i just read that the corona is faster with Embree on intel CPUs.

Some images taking too long to clean the noise
Is the DOF from Corona? Did you lower GIvsAA? Also, denoising does a pretty good job with cleaning DOF - have you tried that?

Hi maru, Great thanks for ur advice. i haven't try tweaking with GI vs AA. I use denoising (fulldenoising with denoise amount 0.5) i just try to get clean render without losing detail. I will re-test with another value and compare with the current one :).

Hi Jadefox, Thanks for comment. :)
These are not for client, the client haven't confirm the design from there design team. Just do these for my freelance portfolio :). i will upload the whole interior renders when I am finished these.

DOF effect rendering images from current project.
Some images taking too long to clean the noise. Hope dof rendering will be faster in upcoming corona version. :)
PS. i put some milk bottle in bar counter wine shelf but the client didn't notice he he :P

Hardware / Re: Dual Xeon E5-2670 or i7-5820k
« on: 2016-06-01, 10:08:41 »
Hi Nick. There are several things to consider. the single core performance and multicore performance. single core performance is essential for the Viewport and modelling performance. and multicore is as u already know rendering. System with better single core performance CPU will handle more complex scene with good FPS. i7 5820K will be faster in viewport with alot of polygon (millions) than xeon e5 2670 v3. I have dual xeon e5 2683 v3 and cinebench R15 score of 3085. but single core performance is only 100!. i7 are better in single core performance i.e my old i7 2600 pc is faster fps in viewport than my new dual 2683 v3. but in rendering the dual xeons are beast :). Oh i mean viewport in 3DS MAX. i don't known about other software like c4d or maya.
