General CG Discussion / 3ds max 2019 Xref issue

Hi all,

I just upgraded to 3ds max 2019 yesterday, everything works fine. But I experienced a bug that the xref scene cannot be loaded.

The path is loaded, and nothing appear in the scene, which they also cannot be rendered. Everything work fine when I used 3ds max 2017.

Anybody could help ?

Thank you.

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Internal Error : wxWidgets
« on: 2016-07-13, 05:57:38 »
I got the following error, does anyone know what the problem is ?

An internal error occured: wxWidgets Assertion failure. Please report this problem to us.
File: ..\..\src\common\intl.cpp(1607)
Function: wxLocale::GetInfo
Condition: strcmp(setlocale(0, 0), "C") == 0
Message: You probably called setlocale() directly instead of using wxLocale and now there is a mismatch between C/C++ and Windows locale.
Things are going to break, please only change locale by creating wxLocale objects to avoid this!   Learn more »

Re: Dmitriy,

Thanks for your comment. The little people is a decoration only. I will see if changing angle is better.

Re: maru

Your obseveration is good. The colour on the wall is post production. Thanks for your comment.

That is awesome. Detailed modelling and nice composition.

Can you show me the setting of stainless steel material ? It looks real.

80% for render , 20% for post.

Constrast, level and colour grading are done in Photoshop.

Attached with the raw render. You may notice there is still some noise in the haze (6 hours render time), need to be touched up in photoshop.

Cheers

This method is easy and straight forward.

Attached with the setting. Only difficult part is to control the distance of scattering according to your scene.

Hi all,

It is a sharing of using Global Volume Material in Corona Render to create a mist effect.

Corona Sunlight and Corona Sky is used for the light source.

Comments are welcome.

Cheers
