I am using 2024 max version.

It doesn't matter if I open empty scene or existing scene. It happens in both cases. And it happens randomly, but in most cases.
I am not using IR while opening second max.

Hi folks,

Afer updateing Corona to newest version 12 update 1 hotfix 1 ( previously Corona 11 ) I encountered a problem. I cannot open second Max window. Every time Max crushes. "Application Error - An error has occured and the application will now close. "
Any idea how to solve it? Very frustrating.

Thanks,
Michał

We had a chance to work on the set of visualizations of the hotel refurbishment project in the urban tissue of Harrow, London. The proposal respects local architecture and replicates original features within added massing.
The biggest task was to create a feeling of embedding the project into the local urban surroundings. We have focused on replicating the neighboring houses, streets, details to recreate the space as accurately as possible.

I hope you will enjoy the outcome!

We waited almost a year but finally, we can share with you a new personal project inspired by NYC.

An individualist, loft-like office space created in some old refurbished building. The idea was to create a creative space, finished in high-end materials, with many astonishing art pieces and the soul of the iconic city enchanted within it.

We are very proud of the outcome and eager to see your reaction!

We want to share some amazing design we were happy to visualize for our long-term client and partner.
It is an underground vinery. A sacred, cathedral-like space created as an appreciation for winemaker's work and product. This uncompromising concept was created using raw materials such as concrete and corten steel.

Software: 3ds Max + Corona Renderer
Architect: Lend Architektur
Location: Somewere in Slovenia

I hope you enjoy!

[Max] I need help! / Corona 7 crashes after converting scene
« on: 2021-08-26, 16:44:54 »
Hi guys!

We came across the same issue a few times while converting the whole scene with a new Corona 7 converter.
After the conversion, the scene is rendering normally in clay ( override MTL ) but crashes while rendering or IR. The whole max crashes to be specific.

Do you have any suggestions on how to help it?

Any help is very much appreciated.

We had a pleasure preparing a set of visualizations for the architectural competition for new workshop building in Follo Museum in Akershus, Norway. A beautiful proposal, created by talented Sunnerö Architects from Sweden, was created in harmony with nature and in tune with the Norwegian wood tradition.

I hope you like it!

Hi Guys!

We have updated all our computers in the office to Corona 6 and we found out really strange result on one single object - moccamaster downloaded from 3dsky.

Here is the original result in Corona 5:

Look what happens when you render the same object in Corona 6:

Take a look at the example. The glass teapot.
In the original render, it was a glass with some logos made by the CoronaLayeredMtl. In Corona 6 the glass started to look like Corona Standard Material.

We assume that the problem lays in the Conversion Vray->Corona 5->Corona 6.

Materials are not perfect and it is obvious that they were made in Vray but still, they worked quite well before.

Any ideas?

Thanks for help!

After many weeks of intense work we can finally publish one of the most amazing projects we ever took part in. Welcome to Monitor’s Rest - an ultimate mountain ski estate in the private community The Colony in Park City, Utah, USA.

Monitor’s Rest, nestled into the mountainside at the base of Monitor Bowl, has been designed to be the finest expression of mountain living. Conceived by the award-winning teams at The Iluminus Group, CLB Architects, Design Workshop, Delos, Orsman Design, and Magleby Estate Homes, “Monitor’s Rest” sets the new standard for a true legacy-quality modern compound on 5 ski-in/ski-out acres in the exclusive gated enclave of The Colony at White Pine Canyon.

The timeless architecture offers world-class amenities paired with the finest materials and craftsmanship, including Italian steel windows and doors, Croatian limestone, Shou Sugi Ban charred cypress, and a full copper roof combined with an innovative and cohesive layout for a seamless flow throughout 18,500 square feet of living space.

Working on the visual presentation of this project it has been a huge challenge on many levels. The whole project is unique.  The documentation has hundreds of pages with every detail drawn. Every single piece of furniture had to be modeled in 3D from scratch. Finest elevation materials had to be recreated in 3D, showing their beauty and natural structure. It took couple of hundred hours to finalize it, but we are really proud of the result and the general feel of the set of images we created.

We hope you enjoy it!
