[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Corona-Material website.

Yes, unfortunately I lacked the time to maintain the project properly. I have also seen that the homepage now has problems and have already offered my support to the new owner.

Wonderful! I say that I also have a similar nice grass. It's just a shame that you can not see them at architecture visualizations in such detail when looking from afar ...

I think that is not possible in C, possibly only via the "Ray switcher material". But I need a way to make objects like this.

Unfortunately, I can not find a solution: I would like to reflect an enviroment HDRI in some specific windows. If I activate this HDRI material in "Reflections override" in the Render settings -> Scene enviroment, this will be reflected in all objects. How can I solve this?

Thank you for your help.

I think it has already been reported that texture projection will not work on the latest release (01.12.). Here are the examples:

I would also like to say thank you to the Corona team. Although Corona crashes with the IR always again, but this is not so important to me. Thankfully, I am that the RoundEdges work again, as one sees here:

mood and veg(leafs) are great! and that last shot tho! really convincing photorealism!
tell us more about your light setup, rendertimes etc.

thank you!

Thank you. Here more informations about the scene:
As light I have only an HDRI (0926 from PGSkies). The fog is a corona volume material (also the mist over the lake). The trees and bushes are from Evermotion, the grass and other plants are from Evermotion and Forester plugin. The flying leaves and rain have been added in the post.

The rendertime at a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels was about 8 hours at 100 passes (on an Intel i7-4930K).

Since the customers mostly (and also understandably) want a good weather visualization, I wanted to realize a 3D visualization with a weather season appropriate to the current season. Here the result: The house by the lake.

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Missing: Add multi-pass file
« on: 2017-06-16, 14:26:56 »
It has resolved itself. I had forgotten to enable the small checkbox at "Active passes" -> Enbl. :-|

But still you have to set the renderer to "standard", enable multi-pass checkbox and then back to the corona renderer. Than you can save a multi-pass file.

I miss the function to save a multi-pass file. In the Alpha version, there were "Corona Multi-Pass" in the render settings under "Effects". In my beta (DailyBuild May 15 2017) this selection is no longer available. How do I specify a filename for the multi-pass?

I do not know if it has already been mentioned: The noise shader in the bump channel does not look good at all:

> [test B1 noise.jpg] noise shader in bump channel
> [test B1 noise bitmap] the same noise, but as a bitmap
> [test B1 noise displ] noise shader in displace channel

Whether it was so in version A6, I do not know. Since I could not use any noise shader in A6, because Cinema always crashed.

Corona Beta 1 from 2017-04-07

Hi, Allertaler!

I just tried this in beta1 from 2017-04-13 with noise shader, with bitmap (baked noise texture) and Corona bitmap and it looks OK to me. Sure, if you set the strength too high with the noise shader, you're bound to get crazy results, but otherwise, displacement and bump always correspond to each other, not like in your images. Could you maybe ellaborate on what exactly is wrong and if possible, make a scene where we can easily see what you mean? Thanks!

Hi houska,

thank you for your efforts. I tried again with a simple shader ball. The view with a noise shader in the bump channel will not be nicer. I have attached the scene and 2 screenshots.

Thank you for your efforts, Houska. I now have installed the beta from 07.04. And has been working with Noise shaders for 2 hours without crashing Cinema. I hope it stays like this... :o)
