And if you instance the frontback map also to translucency slot, and give your paper material some translucency, then you will see the text on the other side of the page slightly leaking through when you look at the page against light source... like in real world ;)

About blending images, I had a problem. The problem was solved when I changed the Corona VFB on the Standard Native 3dsMax VFB. However, this does not always work. :(
