Hi smarties,

It's looking quite good overall, but I noticed a few things: In the second image I see a lot of blotches (!?) on the ceiling especially near the borders where it meets the brown stucco. So far I have never seen blotches with Corona and I wonder what's going on there.
The thin curtains seem exceedingly bright compared to modest brightness of what can be seen through the windows. They almost seem to glow suggesting a bright powerfully lit exterior, but  it's rather dull outside.
Also the material and shading for the brownish curtains in front of the transparent ones seem to have a funky mapping problem and appear very stiff and rough.
Still good work of course! :)

Good work, especially on the modeling. I can see some facetting on the medium sized white ceiling light in the second picture though, might be related to the strong bumpmap. Also the background image in the second pic looks strange as it is very washed out and grey although judging from the strong sunlight it should be a sunny day.
Other than that, congratulations on your first work in Corona. :)

Thanks everyone! I'm especially glad about the comments concerning the simplicity and lighting. It's where my focus is on. I was also trying to avoid the usual recipe for archviz these days, meaning no V-Ray, no HDRI from Guthrie, no Magic Bullet looks, no Mentor Plants, no Evermotion models not drenched in aberrations etc. Sure, those tools give good results but everything starts to look the same...

The wood textures are mostly Arroway with a bit of CGTextures.

@MGDesignUK
I went for scanned people from AXYZ. They are alright for medium distances, still not great though since the polycount has been greatly reduced by them.

Also the female head in my rendering is a custom photo replacement, since the 3D hair still sucks. ;)

Thanks! Yeah, the architecture is amazing. Niall McLaughlin Architects did the design on this one. They are doing great stuff.

My first project in Corona, it shows the Bishop Edward King Chapel placed in the grounds of Ripon College. Corona worked great, I adjusted internal res, light sample multiplier and adjusted the sampling balance in favour of GI. I also did the exteriors for this project but rendering has been done with Maxwell in these cases.
