What is the problem with metal material? If you need simple metal create Corona Material and tick diffuse and reflection.
In diffuse channel drop the color all the way down to 0,0,0 (black). In reflection make it 100% brightness and use white color. Put fresnel IOR around 19-20. Those settings with glossiness at 1 give you chrome.

You can work your way around with various glossiness or reflection strength ranges, or fresnel IOR values.

- Metal material
