Hardware / Re: Render Node(s)

Hi all, talking about dual CPU machine.

Since I’m doing 3d stuff for mine own pleasure (not earning money),  I like the poor man route regarding hardware.
So I set up a couple of machine sporting a X5650 overclocked to 4gh.
Those 2 machine give me an average of 900 points Cinebench R15 each.
Therefore Rendering with distributed results 900+900= 1800 for total sum of 520 € (which is including the cost for used cpu, mobo and mem).

I saw from the benchmark that a dual Xeon X5650 machine delivers much less, only 1300 points, obviously it’s missing the overclock factor.
Do you think that a dual cpu machine is still convenient regarding for example to speed up the Denoise job?

Thanks and keep up the wondeful job!

U.

Hello everybody!

This is my first try with Corona and I'm impressed by its simplicity (compared to Vray) .

Here is a render test,  I used a reference picture of existing kitchen.

I will be happy to hear your comments and critics.

What I can do to get the most out of it?

This is after 2 hours, following minor changes with photoshop, mainly lens flares and slightly colors balance.

Thanks in advance!

PS. I deliberately changed the ceiling color!
