[Max] I need help! / Direct Override render slow
« on: 2024-08-24, 15:27:47 »
Hello everyone, I have a problem that I don't know if this is normal, I had never paid attention to it, I used a black color in the direct override visibility to be able to remove the Background more easily in post, but what I noticed is that when I use this feature, the rendering time goes up a lot, in comparison the rendering without it was taking around twenty-five minutes, and with this feature activated it went to an hour and twenty minutes, is it normal for the rendering to increase in time with this feature active?

[Max] I need help! / Chaos vantage pool animation
« on: 2024-07-18, 02:12:48 »
Hello friends, I'm doing an animation project of a waterfall falling into a swimming pool, I managed to export the animation to Vantage by converting the scene to Vray, the only thing I couldn't do was make the foam and splash effect appear, I can only make the water, is there anything I need to do to make this happen? I wanted the effect like something done in this video

[Max] I need help! / Re: Render Very Slow

If your system is running out of RAM during rendering and Corona has to use swap, then yes, adding more RAM would dramatically increase render speed, otherwise more RAM does not lead to more speed. On the other hand more powerful CPU will always mean more speedy rendering.

for example, this scene didn't show a lack of ram but I found the total rays to be so low with this value of 1.227, shouldn't it be above 2.0 to be faster?

[Max] I need help! / Render Very Slow

Could friends help me? I was noticing that my rendering for large scenes takes a long time, like the total rays are no more than 1.3, taking hours to clean up the noise, I only have 32 GB of RAM, and my processor is an Intel 5930K Very old, do you think that increasing my memory to 64 GB of RAM, which is the maximum that my card supports, would improve this performance? Or just upgrading the new processor and adding 126 GB of RAM?

[Max] I need help! / Re: Intel CPU AI x Corona High Quality

If you feel that AI denoisers are giving you cleaner result in a shorter amount of time, then you should use them. There's nothing wrong with your scene or setup, each denoiser works slightly differently and it's up to you to chose which one you like the most. If there would be only one objectively superior denoiser, then developers wouldn't bother to implement the other ones.

I understand, in fact I don't prefer denoising only in tests, I got the same result with corona high quality, it didn't clean completely, it left with artifacts that I couldn't remove, hence my doubt.

[Max] I need help! / Intel CPU AI x Corona High Quality
« on: 2023-10-24, 21:53:50 »
Friends, I'm new here and I have a little doubt about which denoising to use, I always see the coolest and most realistic renders, people saying they use Corona High Quality denoising, and I've been making some comparisons with the Denoising options, the Nvidia GPU AI and the Intel CPU, these last two I get a cleaner, faster render but the textures and quality are a little blurrier, when I want to use Corona High Quality I have to use many passes to make it clean and many times I can leave it it takes so long and it doesn't get completely clean, it leaves with some artifacts, something that doesn't happen in the other two, with that in mind I made three test renders of just one cut of the render to make this comparison, my question is if I'm doing something wrong or If Corona High Quality really takes a long time? What I wanted to know is because the other denoising cleaned the image completely and Corona High Quality to clean it I would have to leave many passes which would increase my render a lot, my configuration is 32 Gb of Ram, and an Inter 5930K and a GTX 1070 ti
