[Max] I need help! / Hdri Height
« on: 2023-03-07, 15:54:44 »
Hello to all of you reading this,
Small question!
I have downloaded an HDRI,
I use a CoronaBitmap that I link to Environment Map,
Only problem, is it possible from coronabitmap or other to lower the hdri to match the perspective of my building facade?
Because when in CoronaBitmap I change: Offset V it's more like the image of the hdri is tilted backwards, I would like it to stay as it is now just that it is lower ;)

Thanks already to those who will take the time to answer ;)

Thank you very much for your help ;)
and for example I have a scene I took a screenshot of the stats during the beginning of the render, can you estimate the time you would take to get between 3 and 2% of noise level?

hello everyone, little update !
After updating the BIOS, the GHz of the processor are exploited much more before it remained at 3ghz, now it is towards the 4.60ghz.
When I use the modify cloth, no more crashes, it still happens to me with floor generator but maybe it's normal when I change the option in question.

I retested the Corona Benchmark rendering, I went from 2min25 to
1min43~
I will test my renders again to see if the speed of the renders has increased a lot,
I tested on one of my big renders and it still takes me: time left 26 hours to reach the noise level limit 2.0.

So maybe I'm misinformed or I'm delusional but I'll ask you the question,
for an average scene with a lot of objects. forest pack for grass and forest, some light.
How much rendering time do you need for a photorealistic image in 4K ?

First of all thank you for your message TomG.
I went to see if the Ram was well placed on the internet, since I don't know much about it ahah,

my computer is a fully assembled: Asus Pro E500 G600/ i9-11900/
RTX 3090
And my motherboard: W480/SYS and it seems to me having seen graphics on my motherboard, there is no other slot for RAM.

Is it possible that I have to do something from the BIOS to debride my Computer?
And that's where my problems come from?

I have 4 bars of RAM if I am not mistaken in what I see.
I think they are well installed.
Corona does not warn me that the RAM is low.
here are 4 screenshots.

Here are the temperatures of my CPU

Before rendering:
Core Temperatures 28-29°~
Core Distance 72°~
CPU Package 34°~
Core Max 34°~

During Rendering:
Core Temp. 54°
Core Distance 46°
CPU Package 56°
Core Max 56°

I'll look at it and I'll make a little update to answer you.

[Max] I need help! / Problem with 3DSMAX et CORONA RENDER
« on: 2023-02-27, 09:10:39 »
Hello, here are my problems!
I'll start with my problems with 3dsmax, there are a lot of modifications or options (mcloth or other) of 3dsmax that I can't use because either it can take forever or my 3dsmax crashes,
or even just moving a couch (which has several lines/points/polygons) is not fluid (as if I had latency)

Then my Problems with CoronaRender!
It starts when I start working on my image with Materials, it becomes very difficult to work on my materials,
because at a certain point when I do 2D Plan Zoom and run the interactive render (to work in detail on my materials) it can take several minutes just to get an image on the interactive render and even then it never loads very well, it always keeps a certain blur that makes me not see what my materials look like at all.
Then let's say I have finished my materials, I run the interactive render of the whole image one last time before my final render, it is possible that for at least 10 minutes my interactive render will be completely black before loading the image,
Now I make the last settings in Render Setup (image size 3840x****/ Denoising Mode: CoronaHighQuality/ Noise Level Limit 2.0 /...).
I launch my render, again several minutes where the render is black before loading and then the render is EXTREMELY SLOW, it estimates sometimes to 900 hours of render, I have to wait often 2 days to have a drinkable quality.

Very surprising knowing that the components of my PC are the following:
Processor: i9-11900
Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3090
RAM: 64

So I tried Benchmark by Corona to estimate my CPU:
the rendering was done in 2 minutes 25 seconds.
I am 126 of the ranking on 135~ of the Cpu i9-11900 (there are in it the 11900K/11900H/11900F)
and on the general ranking I am 28921.

I have decided to come on this forum, to see if someone had the same problem or if someone has a solution to my problems.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this long message ahah ;)
Hoping you can help me
