Still not clear where to look at. DOF isn't strong enough to understand that vase is on focus. And composition, like romullus said..

Some tips:
Blue sofa material is not convincing, it is hard to see diffuse map.
Also why the lamp is on? It makes lighting very strange when the sun and lamp shines together in this situation.
The fresnel effect is nice and less problematic with Corona.
try adjusting the f number in the camera modifier....
default f8.... try f2.8 or lower for more pronounced DOF... though you might have to increase the shutter speed value to get the exposure back on track.

Now picture looks weird. Birds, that seemingly is the center of your composition, is out of focus and not interesting part of scene is focused. Not good :]
Adjust the base of the birds scultpure, it's waaaay to black.
try adjusting the f number in the camera modifier....

if you are using a standard max camera, you might want to apply the corona camera modifier to the camera and enable DOF in that also....
