The Chaos Browser isn't working for me at the moment. I receive the message: 'Cannot open the Cosmos Browser, because Cosmos Service is not running.'

Unfortunately, in the latest version, Corona 12 Update 1, the option to use an external web browser in the preferences is no longer available.

How can I access the Chaos Browser now?

Hi! Sorry, it's not possible at the moment to save any CXRs except what is currently in the VFB - can't save to CXR from the PV (planned for some point in the future, https://trello.com/c/Saw1LcWQ/49-cxr-saving-support-in-picture-viewer), and can't save from the VFB history to CXR (or I think to any file, you can only save the most recent render).

(So for now you would have to use TR to render the first shot, save it to CXR, then start the render for the next shot, save to CXR, etc. You still get the benefit of multiple machines working on one frame, but you can't "queue up" the renders to go through one after the other).

I'm curious if it is now, 5 years later :-), possible to save multiple CXR files, or place them in the Render Queue?

Has anyone been able to test the latest version of Cinema 4D 2025 with the forced Redshift? Does Corona work well with this version?

By the way, very unfriendly of MAXON to force a function on their users, which not everyone uses but for which they charge extra. I already pay for a rendering plugin (Corona) that suits my needs much better than Redshift, and therefore I will not use it. Give us the choice, just like before, to pay for Redshift or not.

Yesterday I received the new PC. I have to get used to Windows 11, the system feels a lot more unuser-friendly :-).  Anyway, I bought the computer because of its specifications.
The first rendering tests carried out with Cinema 4D and Corona. The PC is 4x faster!

Now I'm wondering if I use the iMac as a Team Render client whether I will achieve even more speed gains. So far, however, I get an error on the client after a few seconds "(Error) Render-Job failed: Rendering stopped because of an out-of-memory or unknown error"
Both computers are connected to the network with Ethernet.

I think there is enough memory. Anyone have an idea what's going wrong?

[C4D] General Discussion / PC configuration advice, and how use PC as render farm next to a Mac?

After 30 years of using Macs, I am now considering switching to a PC.

The reason for this is that my current iMac from 2019, with an i9 processor at 3.6 GHz and 128 GB RAM, is not so fast with rendering. The latest Mac Studio with an M2 Ultra processor is expensive and, compared to a PC at half the price, less powerful.

I have configured a PC with the following specifications:

Processor: AMD RYZEN 9 7950X
Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 Super
Motherboard: ASUS ProArt X670E-CREATOR WIFI
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 64GB
Storage: Samsung 990 PRO 4TB

Is this configuration suitable for Cinema 4D and Corona Render?

I intend to continue using my iMac for most of my other programs, as I have many Apple products and am fully integrated into the Apple ecosystem. The iMac’s display is also very nice.

Ideally, I would like to continue working on the iMac and use the PC only for rendering.
Is it possible to use the PC as a render farm or do I have to use C4D Team Render?

Hello,

After I performed a clean install of MacOs Ventura and installed the latest Cinema 4D + Corona, the Chaos Browser does not work properly. The browser works for a while, but as soon as I get a notification to do an update, it goes wrong. I can't perform this update and I end up seeing a white window. Even if I reinstall everything, so first install Corona and then separately install the latest version of the Chaos Browser, it also goes wrong. I also get continuous ULA messages. Hopefully you have a solution for me.
