i second that:

some objects are moved in rendering and with displacement some objects disappear (not only the objects with displacement mat, but also others...)

Please do not "Maxify" our c4d. There are tons of stuff out there only for max and only a few for c4d. We donnot want maxuser to hijack c4d!

;)

Hi all,

using corona 6 with hotfix2 i ran into some trouble trying to layer several noises and tiles in the bump channel via the c4d layershader. Only the top one shader will be shown.

Can someone second that? I feel that the c4d layershader is the weakspot of corona since it doesnt convert materials with layershader properly.

thanks!

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Re: ANYDESK Stop rendering

I have had the same problemof aborted renderings and tried to avoid remoting (ok corona-homeoffice makes this easy) for now.

Now in 6.2.3. it seems to work. But both devices are in the same network, i have to test more...

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Colours in ID Pass
« on: 2021-02-22, 09:03:23 »
Thanky, I will try, if changing the Material-Name solves the problem, it is ok (yes, sometimes I am too lazy to name the materials properly)

But as you can see in your own example: there are so may greens, some pinks, but no yellows, no oranges. all ID-Pass-colours are pretty close. this will work for a small number of non overlapping objects, but not for a complex scene with 100s of materials. It woulb be nice, if coroa allways provides the widest range of poosible colors.

[C4D] General Discussion / Colours in ID Pass
« on: 2021-02-11, 19:14:23 »
Hi all!

Even though the ID Pass is very handy, I often struggle with its colours...

1. Why do most colours in the ID Pass have the same colourrange? F.E.: In a scene with only 12 Materials, I have one dark red, one pink, but 8 shades of greenish blues. Those are pretty difficult to pick afterwards in Photoshop. Why isn't  there a wide range of the most different colours?

2. When i copy material to make some adjustments (f.e. change a white plaster-Material to a grey one) there will be no other colour in ID Pass. Both have the same colour...

Can anyone help? Thanks!

[C4D] I need help! / Re: rendering from VFB to C4D or PSD
« on: 2020-05-04, 10:03:04 »
Thanx for your answers. Hi Sirio, nice to see you here again!

In my workflow I can live without using the curves for now and I figured out how to use the cxr and how to save nice PSDs out of one render.

The most important aspect for me is the possibility of batchrendering.

[C4D] I need help! / rendering from VFB to C4D or PSD
« on: 2020-04-23, 10:29:55 »
Hi all!

I am a CG artist since more than 15 Years. Since more than 10 Years I am a V-Ray Guy but now we are living in "corona-times" (mention the equivovation!). I am trying to get into corona and it is pleasing me and a pretty nice Engine. But one thing makes me suffer: How can I get my Multi-Pass-Passes to a nice PSD-File for postprocesing?

1.
In the VFB there is this nice ">to C4D" Button that sends me the current state of my tweaked Image (Tonemapping, Lightmix, etc.) to the C4D Picture-Mangager. But I miss a ">to PSD"-Button that sands the Passes to one nice Photoshop-file! As a workaround I twaek my image an send several states of the image to the C4D Picture-viewer and save my PSD from there.

2.
Why is there no ">to C4D", a ">to PSD" or even the option to save PSDs in the Corona-Image-Editor? Yesterday I rendered a file and saved it as a .cxr in hope of having all the features of the VFB in the Corona-Image-Editor to tweak several versions of my image and then export them to PSDs. Today I could not find a way to do that. The only thing is to export all the layers as single images an merge them in Photoshop, but this is annoying and time consuming.

3.
Will there be a batch-render-feature for saving several .cxr-Files automatically (that requires the option to get nice PSDs after tweaking the cxr.)?

4.
Why are images in VFB looking different to the same image sent to c4d when using Curves in the Tonemapping-Section?

What I am dreaming of, is the option to batch-render several images (different takes or files) over night or weekend, saved as editable .cxrs. After tweaking these .cxrs I can export my image-variations of each .cxr as PSD-files to work on the images in Photoshop afterwards.

Or am i missing something?

Thanks for your answers and help!

kind regards
