The Corona devs are working on a new Caustics solution, until then, you have few options :
1 - Try to increase the Max Sample Intensity, it will bring brighter caustics but longer render time and probably some fireflies.
2 - Go in Settings > Developpment/Experimental > Change the "Render Engine" to Bidir/VCM or PPM. It is not a reliable solution but might work in your case.
3ds Max ships with some materials and maps. You can find there some carbon fiber textures as well. I hooked those textures to Corona material and result is pretty decent i think. In the attached fle, i left texture paths unstripped, so it should pick up those textures if your 3ds max install path is default.
