Is the first set of images lit with a HDRI and the second a sun/sky? The reason I ask is because first set of images have more of a richness than the second set, but both still very nice.

This would be very helpful indeed!!!!

Many thanks Ondra!

In Corona V1.0 i can no longer access the last frame buffer via maxscript. I was using "CoronaRenderer.CoronaFp.showVfb()" before but this no longer works and i have tried many variations but with no luck? Does anyone know if and what the syntax has changed to?

Many thanks

ecximer,

Thanks for that. Works great. Much appreciated!

ecximer,

On max 2012 I keep getting the attached error for LightLister Corona v1? Doesn't even get to the LightLister dialogue.

If you are using a VrayHDRI loader I now believe the render multiplier is not being taken into consideration. It seems only the overall multiplier is. Try setting your overall multiplier to the older multiplier number x current render multiplier.

Basically if your old multiplier was 0.1 and 10 for render multiplier. Now change your overall multiplier to 1 i.e 0.1 x 10. Maybe see if this helps.

Great renders. They look very realistic.

On a side note, will there be any kind of overlap from the v7.2 finishing and the commercial release being rolled out. The reason I ask is because we are half way through a project. We are wanting to purchase the SaaS version straight away but I notice people speaking about v7.2 ending very soon. Does that mean the v1.0 release is imminent?

When rendering locally you can obviously dump the render and resume later. When rendering across the network the render dialogue where you dump the VFB from is not available. It would be great to be able to dump it directly from the frame buffer and then resume later. Sometimes when we get into work in the morning a render may have only been rendering 3-4 hours, yet we have to lose that rendering time because we cannot dump from the VFB.

Not even sure if it's possible, but would be a great addition.

Many thanks.

So in reality this has no comparison to a true physical camera starting point at EV 0  (i.e ISO, Aperture, Shutter speed for example)  and more an artistic approach.

When opening up Corona from scratch is there any true world camera value that EV 0 is equivalent too. I have looked up values on Wikipedia and it suggests a value of EV 9 for interior shots, when entering this number is becomes completely blown out. The reason I ask is because people I work with are trying to compare physical camera settings to Corona's EV values. I personally believe that is not equivalent to any value as EV is connected to aperture. When sliding the EV value whilst rendering the aperture (F-number) is not effected therefore is see this as more of an artistic approach. I know I can add a Corona Cam Modifier, but obviously locks off the EV value.

Can anyone shed any light on the out the box values or are they more artistic as presumed.

 Thank you for any help.

Romulus,

Thanks for the tip. Looks like it should do the job fine.

Any other suggestions or fixes for this issue as most visualisers i know use this workflow. i.e and image back-plate set to "don't cast shadows". Then you get the colour in reflections from the back-plate with the expected shadows properties from the sun system.
