I have updated to Corona 13, and now working in some files that were created in v12, and I'm having some problems with tri-planar mapping scale being different (much smalle tiling of textures)...  is this documented somewhere, or is it a bug? Is there a scale setting that I can change to get the expected scale from my old files?

[C4D] I need help! / non-interaction on threadripper 2990WX

I have a problem with being able to do anything else in the viewport, when using the VFB (edit: VFB2).  I have a threadripper 32-core 2990WX on a windows 11 PC with 64GB RAM and a RTX 3080ti, running C4D 2025.2.1 and Corona 13.  I have tried changing the # of threads override to -16, -32, -64 and I see a reduction in CPU utilization accordingly, but really no change in viewport responsiveness.  I can not even navigate the view of a simple scene with only a single object.  Trying to stop the VFB is also very slow.  Basically any kind of interaction is impossible.  I don't understand why this is, and I'm wondering if there are any other factors involved, and what can I do about it?  Perhaps it's something specific to the 2990WX?...  I do not have the same problem on my other PC, an intel cpu with much fewer cores.  open to suggestions, as this is very frustrating for me, having just switched over to this machine.

As I tried to describe in the subject, I wish to use Vantage link from within Corona for C4D to generate 360 panoramas for use in a virtual tour, to share with client. 
I'm having a hard time dissecting the information on the internet if this is possible, so would appreciate feedback from developers, or users in this regard. 
I also need to share the panoramas (preferably in a packaged interface), and hope that Chaos Cloud can offer this functionality, but again, am struggling to find specific info in this regard, as Cloud seems mainly focused on Cloud rendering service.  Am I misunderstanding the capabilities?

I've already posted this over on the chaos Vantage site, but not sure how much traction that site gets, and figured I'd post here, since it's C4D specific.  Apologies in advance for cross-posting, but I feel like it's a critical issue (at least for me!)

I'm using C4D + Corona 13 daily (Mar 5 2025), and updated Vantage to latest 7.2.1 I have never really tested it before, but running into a huge roadblock right off the bat:

- I have a simple scene with 2 objects, a camera, Corona Sun and Sky.
- I start livelink
- Exposure is blown out - no biggie: I change the exposure from "None" to "Physical" - all good!.
- I move the sun inside C4D - the location updates in Vantage... great!
- I move the viewport camera in C4D... Exposure in vantage now reverts to "None", and it's blown out again. WHY!?

Another example:
- I switch the Environment Mode from "Physical Sky" to "Solid Color"
- any camera move in C4D now reverts the Env Mode... WHY?

I don't understand how I can even get started using this.

I have two PCs, and am trying to install the latest Corona update on the machine that has win10.  I get a blue error message pop up saying "This app can't run on your PC.  To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher).
I have tried both with and without admin privileges.
I installed successfully on the PC that has windows11 a few days ago...  but this one has me stumped.
I have all required Windows updates installed.

First of all - excited that I might finally (hopefully!) be able to use Corona+Vantage on a project!.
just bought a month of vantage, for testing purposes, but my deadline will be almost immediately after that so I am already behind the curve.
here are some questions, and things I noticed already - please help me out with understanding how to improve my file setup, or what else.

I am using Corona 12(hotfix1), and C4D 2024.5.1 Windows 11 Pro, AMD 2990WX, 64.0 GB RAM, (2x) 2070 RTX

Right out of the box I open a file I want to test. 

- "Open Scene in Vantage"...  crash after about 75% through.
- Export to "Corona VRScene"...  crash after 75%

The scene is not really that complex (relative to my usual Corona projects)...  What are the limitations of what is supported in "Open Scene.." and "Export to VRscene", if any?...  not sure if I need to trouble shoot any particular objects, plugins?

Is there a limit on filesize?, or any other limitations?  where can I see the documentation in this regard?

Can someone point me in the direction for some best practice guidelines, or youtube videos that show a successfully working setup?

Never fun to have a total fail as your first experience

[C4D] Bug Reporting / can't check denoiser in VFB...

I used to be able to check (or uncheck) the denoiser in the VFB when doing interactive renderings...  or am I wrong?  It doesn't work for me anymore.  Cinema4D 2023.2.2/ Corona 10, hotfix1

I'm really interested in using OSL parallax shaders for archviz, and I've just spent over an hour trying to find information on OSL shader support in C4D.  I had a vague memory that it was added to either C4D natively or for a 3rd party renderer.  I can't find anything that verifies my claim - can anyone tell me if Corona will ever support OSL shaders (like the parallax shaders)?

I am using some Xpresso to drive the Corona Sun position from the C4D Physical Sky (Time and location parameters)...  this is purely for the positioning of the Corona Sun, and should have no other effect.  Yet, when I am test rendering in VFB - most times the Sun will not actually render, unless I make some changes to the time/ and location parameters...  sometimes I will click forward an hour, and back again - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... 
I am not sure if this is the only case of the Corona Sun not rendering, but if so - what could possibly be the reason? 

I am not really knowledgeable in Xpresso, so perhaps it's something with the priority settings, which are currently set to "Expression - 0"

Any help appreciated, or if someone can confirm any issues with Corona Sun, that would also be useful.

As stated in the subject title, V9 corona lights stay visible in viewport when red dots are activated (i.e. "editor visibility=off" in the basic properties)- - this wasn't the case with earlier version, so I assume it's a bug?

these are just 4 of the warning/ error dialogues that pop up on start-up...  I didn't screenshot them all....  S26 starts up after, but is still missing several Corona plugins (see last image)

We work collaboratively on files, which means I might need to open a file that someone else created.  We have been experiencing crashes when trying to open certain files.  Stil started after we installed RC2. I have tried rolling back to the daily from 2/2, and had brief success when opening a file that didn't open w/ RC2, but then it caused a crash the next time I tried.  We have experienced this on 3-4 different work stations now. Not entirely sure this is the fault of Corona (if not then it would have to be a C4D problem, which never existed until now).

A separate issue is that the Chaos Licensing system is only working sporadically.

there was a notice to update the cosmos browser (Chrome, WIN10) - can't remember exact message...  afterwards I can't see any materials in Cosmos...  is this something with the Corona, or Cosmos, or what?

first of all - thank you for supporting the Chaos Cosmos library - that's exceptional news!
I have noticed that assets are imported with the proxy object axis scale set to 10.  I don't know if this is something that is a work-in-progress (like the glossiness parameters), but this is a huge issue because when you use the proxy in a cloner or scatter, the way it's handled is as if the scale is=1, which means the object is 10x too small.
If I run the "reset scale" on the proxy to make it=1, then it will be too small.
Why are the proxy scales set to 10?  I hope this will be fixed, sooner, rather than later?

Not sure if this is a bug, but I hope it's not a feature!  In v5 the z-depth was apparently treated as a "mask", and this functioned very nicely.  Why was this removed?
