Hi guys,

worked on this image last nite, still in progress of adding a few things such as plants and decorations.

What would you guys do to make it look better?

Greetings from México.

Hello. I do not even know if this is stupid question but I have to know :P

In my country Intel i7 7700K is in the same price as Ryzen 1700. And You propably know what I try to find out ^^

I am working mostly in software like Maya, 3ds Max, UE4, Zbrush, Substanse Painter and of course Corona. I noticed that a lot of software is still running on one core. For example, unwrapping in 3ds max some functions in Maya and Zbrush too.

My whole body is screaming "Go for Intel" because of ~200% stronger one core power but ... I have to check If maybe raw power of Ryzen in application using mutlithreading is worth it ? What do You think ?

Thanks and Cheers !

Just as you say, single core is better on the 7700k and probably your workstation will feel snappier overall, in the other hand an overcloked r7 1700 will perform at least 30% faster in rendering and it wont do a bad job in single core tasks, in my opinion i would go with the amd setup which i think is a more balanced sistem.

I already got my r7 1700; i did some tests at stock speeds with the corona benchmark and it made it in 2:54mins, while my 5820k overcloked at 4.4ghz made it in 3:15mins ( i dont know if its something wrong with the 5820k because i've seen people doing it in 2:20mins or so)

cinebench r15 scores:

1700 @3.2ghz; ram@2133:  1480cb
5820k @4.4ghz; ram@2666: 1250cb
4770k @4.3ghz; ram@1333: 720cb
e3-1270v5@3.6; ram@2133: 758cb

Hi there, as juraj said, i also sugest you to buy the 1700 instead, its very easy to overclock it, just a few clicks and voilá, you get the power of a 1800x.
but theres something i dont agree; i have seen some tests where you get better performance using higher speed ram (3000-3200mhz or even more), theres an exlplanation based on how the zen architecture works (which i dont remeber exactly, so better google it).. and this apply to multithreaded aplications and not only to get higher fps while gaming.

Hi there, im planning to add another gtx 780 to my build (this is entirely for rt purposes, i know corona doesnt support it), but i dont know if my 600watts power supplys will handle both gtx and an i7 5820k.
Any advices? should i upgrade my psu too?
